Oh, I’m not leaving WordPress or my LoveLifewithDawna blog. Heck no. This is home and I’ll always be here writing. You and I have built such an amazing community right here and I could never leave you guys. I’m still trying to navigate all the different writing platforms I’m on and I don’t always do the best job in keeping up, so I am sorry for that. I’m trying, I hope you know that.
With that being said, I came up with the idea to write not only letters over on Substack but notes too.
Sometimes, the things we most need to say don’t arrive as full letters… especially on rough days because our health decides to take a detour or we take on one too many projects. Sometimes the words get stuck in our minds and all we can do is get a little note out to say hi and to let those we care about know we are thinking of them.
And so, I’d like to introduce you to my new note series: Dear Heart Notes.
Sometimes these notes will arrive in quiet moments. While creating something with our hands. While washing dishes. While sitting with a cup of coffee. While moving through the ordinary moments of everyday life.
Over the years, Love Life has been a place for longer reflections, my life’s journey, and lessons gathered along the way. Yet lately, I’ve felt called to create a different kind of space too.
A softer space.
A simpler space.
A space for brief reminders when life feels heavy and hearts need a place to rest.
That’s where Dear Heart Notes come from.
Dear Heart Notes won’t always be long letters. Sometimes they’ll be just a few sentences. Sometimes they’ll arrive with a photograph from my day, a glimpse into a creative project, or a quiet reflection that found me while I was painting, writing, crafting, or simply living.
Think of them as little pauses.
A breath.
A reminder.
A conversation between Love and your heart.
Tonight’s Dear Heart Note over on Substack went something like this:
Dear Heart,
You do not have to have everything figured out before you create something beautiful.
Love 🤍
If you’d like to receive future Dear Heart Notes, along with reflections, stories, and gentle encouragement delivered directly to your inbox, I’d love for you to join me on Substack.
This is only the beginning.
Until next time, don’t forget,
Love Life++ Hugs,
Dawna-Rae 🦋
