Happy Sunday night,
How is everyone doing tonight? How’s the weather in your neck of the woods. Here, it’s been cool and rainy all day… the kind of weather that makes me want to write, read, bake, and decorate for the holidays. This year, I’ve decided to blend Halloween with fall and Thanksgiving. One thing’s for sure: I need to figure out how to get out front and decorate for all the trick‑or‑treaters.
Today being Sunday, I was able to spend some time with a few of my besties. We went to a painting workshop where we learned to paint on wood using stain, paint, and stencils. It was such a wonderful afternoon… relaxing, creative, and cozy, especially on a cold, rainy day.
More rain tonight, and I have all the bedroom windows open. I love the cold air, and I’m already looking forward to falling asleep to the sound of the rain.
John’s still out of town, so my nights feel a little lonely, but I understand he’s exactly where he needs to be right now.
While painting today, I realized something: Sundays have a way of slowing me down just enough to hear myself think again. Tonight I’m sitting with the reminder that I can return to myself as many times as I need to, especially when life continues to be out of sorts and crazy in more ways than none.
I finally returned to crafting with friends, and I was blessed to spend part of my day making my own holiday magic with my own hands. I painted gingerbread houses on wood, and I won’t lie, it turned out pretty awesome.
I can’t share photos here, but if you want to see what I made, head over to my Instagram or Pinterest and let me know what you think.
Life lately has been crazy, and yet when I stop and think about it, I’m beyond grateful for where I’m at today.
I don’t have everything figured out. I’m rebuilding, reimagining, and learning to trust the small steps. But grace keeps meeting me in the quiet corners of my day, and I’m choosing to believe that’s enough.
Crafting might not solve life’s problems, but it surely steadies the soul when life feels out of whack.
Painting, crafting, and spending time with friends helps fill a small part of the void while John’s gone.
Tonight, I’m reflecting on my much‑needed day with friends. I’m thinking about who I am, who I’m becoming, and where I want to be. Life isn’t always easy, and that’s okay. I will keep showing up… in the hardest times, the uncertain times, and the best times. Perhaps that counts for something.
Tomorrow is Monday, and I will rise again. Not perfectly, but faithfully. One day, I promise to step into who I’m meant to be. Just wait and see.
Well guys, I’ll be saying goodnight for now. Before I go, remember this: life doesn’t have to be perfect to be amazing and wonderful. You can handle whatever this week throws at you, and so can I. We got this.
Thank you for being here for my Sunday notes.
Until next time, don’t forget
love life++ Hugs 🤍
