Happy Friday eve, everyone!
How are you all doing? One more day and we’ll officially be stepping into Easter weekend. What are your plans for this fabulous few days ahead? Shoot me a text or drop me a comment — I always love hearing from you, and when I do, you truly light up my day.
This weekend promises to be absolutely perfect.
Saturday I’m heading to the Flower Fields with my girl tribe, and Sunday we’ll be celebrating Easter with John’s parents and one of his sisters and her family. I get to make the dessert, so wish me luck — I’ll be attempting a carrot cake from scratch. I’ve got this… right?
I don’t have much to write tonight because…
Some days my brain just… stops.
Not dramatically — more like it quietly slips out the back door and leaves me staring at a blank page.
I used to push through moments like this, try to force the words to line up neatly.
Tonight, I’m choosing something softer.
Maybe the pause is the point.
Maybe the quiet is its own kind of message — a reminder that not every day needs to be profound to be meaningful.
So here’s my little Thursday good‑night from my corner to yours:
If your mind felt foggy today too, you’re in good company.
If the words didn’t come, let them rest.
If your day felt heavy, I hope your evening feels lighter.
Sometimes the most honest thing we can say is simply,
“I’m tired, and that’s enough for tonight.”
From my corner,
Dawna
And may a butterfly cross your path when you need a reminder that you’re not alone.
A few photos from this evening’s sunset. Hope you enjoy

There are times when my brain decides it has done enough and stops working this is when I find myself just staring off looking at nothing and no thought happening. These episodes don’t happen very often but it happens

I can relate and I’m so sorry that you have to deal with this. I am happy though it doesn’t happen often. I suppose, those are the moments when our bodies and brains are telling us, just rest.
Hugs to you my dear friend. Take care of yourself.
