Time slipping away

Happy Wednesday evening everyone!

How was your day? Mine was good. I spent some time with kiddo 3. Grant and I went to lunch, then we headed over to Michaels to pick up a craft item or two. I’m on the hunt for anything Amore’ and hearts. Since I’m hosting Kevin and Jagger’s engagement party at the end of the month here in my new home. Thank goodness John is so supportive and helpful. He’s in charge of the whiskey bar. I think Old Fashions are on the menu. Not my drink, but that’s okay, everyone else will thoroughly enjoy them.

Enough about me, so, what have you all been up to? How’s your week going so far? I’d love to hear from you, so shoot me a text or drop me a comment. You light up my day when I get messages and we’re able to interact with each other.

So today something came up in a conversation, and it’s been weighing on me heavily. When someone seeks your input on a decision that affects them in a huge way, it’s something that I don’t take lightly, and I’m sure you don’t either. When we have the privilege to be someone’s confident, it’s a true testament to our character. They trust us. We’ve built a level of trust with this person and that should be held in the highest regard. My heart is overflowing knowing I was the trusted one to this incredible person. I’m not sure I was any help, but it meant the world to me being able to connect with a friend on a deeper level.

Today I came across a quote I had saved in my phone back in 2024. I’m not sure where my mindset was at the time. I’m not sure why I saved the quote, but I did and when I ran across it today, I knew I had to post it.

The quote made me think of my Aunt Billie. She’s always telling me to live life with little to no regret. Her time on earth is shorter than it is longer. She’ll be 101 on her next birthday. She’s lived a really good life, and she’s got more love in her life than most folks do. She’s done a good job in her choices in this world, and I hope that if I make it another 50 years around the sun, I pray I can look back on life and see an abundance of love surrounding me.

When Aunt Billie was 18 years young and right after she graduated high school, she told her dad that she was moving back to California from New Mexico. So, she packed her bag and never looked back. She was on the first train out of town and from there, she taught herself everything aeronautics and worked in the industry until she retired. No degree, just determination.

She was eager to learn, and she went from working on the assembly lines to being an executive with Boeing, Rockwell International and General Dynamics. Aunt Billie didn’t wait around for life to happen; she made it happen. She’s a true role-model in my life for sure. Aunt Billie is always telling me, don’t ever let life slip away. Live your dream. Make those sacrifices. Write the book.

Taking the first step to living your dream can be a scary thing. My thought on that? Pray about it. Give it to God and then, receive the answer.

When we need to make huge choices in life, it might not be a bad idea to look back on similar paths we took. Did the path work? Why or why not? What can we do this time to help make sure we are successful? What does our gut tell us? What does our heart say? Why do we want to choose the path that is weighing on us? Again, only we can answer those questions.

Perhaps when a second chance comes around, maybe it’s Him giving us that opportunity to try again.

Time is slipping away from all of us. We have one chance at the life we are given. How will we use our time.

Speaking of dreams, as you lay your head down tonight, don’t forget to say a prayer and thank God for another day. If you faced some difficult situations, pray for strength and His guidance. He’s got your back. He’s ready to take your hand and walk beside you. If you’ve fallen, He’s there trying to help pick you up. If you’re soaring, He’s right there cheering you on.

With Him, all things are possible. With Him, if we take the time to listen, He’ll guide us.

Well guys, sweet dreams. I hope as you fall asleep tonight you drift off into a peaceful sleep where you can see your dreams come true.

Until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs
