Veterans Day 2025

Happy Tuesday! Happy Veterans Day!

I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who have served in our armed forces for your service. I’d also like to thank the families, especially the husbands’ and wives along with the children of those who have served and currently serve. Your support for this country does not go unnoticed. You may be in the background of your service person, but you are in the forefront of helping keep this country safe by your unwavering support of your service person. Thank you.

Whether you are a Republican, Democrat or other political party affiliation, wouldn’t you agree that those who serve do in fact sacrifice a lot. Those that serve or who have served stand for freedom, yet sadly, within those freedom boarders, we have a divide in our nation. That divide however isn’t seen in our military. They fight for those in this country, not for a political party. They fight for everyone, whether a person supports the military or not.

I grew up in a cult that didn’t support anything political, yet they, or we, enjoyed the freedoms of this great nation. The cult enjoyed and continues to enjoy all the benefits of the U.S.A., yet they can’t find it in their heart to simply thank a person in the Armed Forces or someone who did serve. I hope that will someday change. Agree or disagree with the military, these selfless individuals continue to serve, just like those who served before them.

For most of my life I couldn’t salute the flag. I couldn’t thank a person of the military for their service. You would never have found a flag in my yard. I always struggled with that. While I don’t support fighting, killing or violence, I do support the right for freedom and freedom isn’t free. I support our military.

Like Charlie Kirk has said or what I have gathered from what he’s said, we at the very least need to show respect for the flag. If you don’t like this country, then perhaps you should move. Like in anything else, you don’t like the situation, work towards changing it. Hate won’t create peace. Disrespect won’t create unity. Agree to disagree, but we are all God’s children, but the human race has become so detached from this that now we have conflict in all parts of the world. Sad when you think about it. I often wonder if folks really understand why they truly hate, or is the hate just continued over from one generation to the next?

I know many of us have differing opinions of many things and most all things political and that’s okay. We can agree to disagree. I’m not here to persuade you to change your mind on any given topic, especially your belief regarding God, religion and patriotism. I’m only here to share my opinion and hopefully help us all to see things from another person’s view.

A content creator that I respect, Wendi Renay says: “in our stories, we find each other and in each other, we find ourselves.”

We are all the same in that we are all human beings. We might not like what someone says or does, but that in itself does not take away nor should not take away another person’s right to their own view, support or respect for the country in which they reside.

Growing up I couldn’t salute the flag. This may seem like a trivial thing to most, but to me, not being allowed made me feel like I couldn’t form my own opinion. I didn’t have a choice, at least that’s the way I felt. If I would have ever voiced my curiosity regarding anything military or patriotic, I would have been beat. I was raised to conform to a certain belief, yet as I grew older, I allowed myself to become curious of other people’s opinions and perspectives. I think that’s helped me become more compassionate. I think it’s also helped me grow as a person.

The more I discover who I really am, the more I can look back on my life and say with utter and complete confidence that I have always had this need for spiritual growth. I’ve also had this deep seeded respect for what the flag of my country stands for and for those that serve my country, and I hope wherever you are in the world, you feel the same about your country. We might be divided by boundaries, but we are united as human beings. If only we could all come together with a level of respect instead of difference.

Maybe my perspective on the military and for my country makes me a person living in a bubble. A bubble of dreams, maybe it’s an unrealistic view, and that’s okay. I may be only one person, and my voice might not make a difference to the majority, but if it makes the difference in one person’s life, I’ve served my fellow man well.

Today is Veterans Day. 11-11-2025! I’d like to thank all those who have served and who continue to serve. Thank you for your service.

Below is a very interesting article on the history of Veterans Day. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

My dear readers, you may not agree with me on where I stand regarding this country and our military and I might not agree with you and that’s what living in this country allows for. Freedom to choose. Freedom to express ourselves. Freedom to have our own opinions. Freedom of religion. Freedom of speech. Freedom that didn’t come free but came from our ancestors who fought for you and me.

With today being Veterans Day, I hope we can all take a moment to remember the sacrifices that all those who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. military. Perhaps we can visit a vet. Maybe we can take a moment to listen to their story or maybe we can take a road trip and visit the memorials of those who sacrificed. If none of this is possible in your day, then maybe we can perform an act of service towards our fellow man. This would be a great way to show our support for the Veterans acts of service for us.

May we all find it in our hearts to show an act of kindness towards our fellow man not only today, but every day, no matter who they are, no matter what side of the fence they are on or that you are on because with a simple act of kindness, we might just bring about a moment of peace to our world.

Well guys, today is going to be an extra busy one for me. I do hope you are all doing amazing and please don’t forget, until next time, Love Life++ Hugs
