Another one for the books

Happy Sunday evening everyone,

I do hope you are all doing well. We are officially finishing up another 2025 weekend, the last one for September. Crazy how fast this year is passing us by.

It’s been a busy few days for me. I’ve been watching Pepper the cat and of course, my niece’s home while she’s enjoying Kaui with her daughters. I’m sure they’re all having a blast. I came home tonight since I have to take Grant to school tomorrow, but I’ll head back over to my nieces first thing in the morning to make sure Pepper is fed and doing well.

I’m dreading Wednesday this week. I have my 8-hour iron infusion to do. Good thing I have a good book I’m dying to start reading and of course, I’ll be taking my laptop so I can hopefully catch up on some of your blogs and a ton of emails.

Anyone out there ever do an 8-hour iron infusion? If so, I’m so curious as to how you felt during and after? I’m hoping for a huge boost of energy and I’m praying I don’t get sick with so much going into me so quickly. I’ll keep you posted, but again, if any of you have ever done an 8-hour infusion, I’d love to hear from you.

Friday I was blessed to spend time with my daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law to be and her mama. We went and picked up her wedding gown. All I can say is, she is going to make one stunning bride and I’m sure my baby boy will cry a little when he sees her walk down the aisle. I can hardly wait to see his face when he beholds the beautiful woman he chose to marry and the woman who chose to love and stand by him forever. They make such an incredible couple. Below are some photos of the dress and her wearing it, however, I have cropped her face out to protect her privacy, I hope anyway. Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, they don’t subscribe to this blog, so we’re good there.

After picking up the dress we headed to this wonderful Cuban restaurant and boy was it yummy. We all had filet mignon and some delicious appetizers and what would an evening out celebrating be without a drink or two. I had a pina’ colada, Kaitlyn had a sangria drink, Jagger had an old fashioned and her mama had a blackberry drink. All were delightfully tasty.

Yesterday I spent the day with my dear friend Susan. She quilted and I cross-stitched. I forgot how much I miss cross-stitching. I met some wonderful ladies at the sit and sew and I can’t wait to sew with them again. I love this quilt shop Susan, and I go to. They do quilting on one side of the store and cross-stitching on the other. We had 23 stitcher and there were 33 quilters, not to mention all the customers who stopped by to look or buy fabric. It was a great day.

I finished up a couple of diamond art projects to sell at Novembers craft fair, so yeah, it’s been a busy weekend.

Tonight, John and I golf carted around and saw a rocket up in the sky. I think John said it was a rocket. It was pretty cool.

Below are some weekend wrap up photos. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for stopping by and thank you everyone for all your love and support.

Until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.

And one of my favorite things I want to share. A little plaque given to me by one of my besties, my sister. She’s touched my heart and she’s always uplifting and encouraging me to write. We might not share DNA, but we share an unbreakable friendship, and I’m beyond blessed by her love and support.

And on the back, she wrote this very special message:
