Wednesday’s rise and shine

Happy Wednesday evening,

How are you? Half way through the work week for most. I have one more early rise for the week, then I can relax and try and do a little more organizing at home. Any plans for the weekend? We have a couple birthday celebrations to attend. We’ll have child 4 here for a couple days and hopefully I can do a little reading catch up too.

I know I said I’d write to you all today to update you on everything going on, but my day has totally escaped me yet again and now I’m just exhausted and ready for bed. I am hoping tomorrow is a less busy day so I can catch you all up with a little explanation about what’s been going on in my world.

I think I told you I had 18 doctor visits in April and let me say, May wasn’t much better and June, well June was filled with lots of tests. My time has just been spread so thin lately that John and I have barely had “us” time. We did sneak away to Solvang for a couple days. That was nice. It was nice to be near my dad again. We buried him nearby and I’ve been missing him like crazy, so John made sure we spent some time where he was laid to rest.

Below is a photo of us enjoying Solvang. Hope you enjoy.

Yup, that’s me hugging the extra ginormous pretzel and it was amazing.

This morning I was able to capture the sunrise. It sure was pretty seeing the sun come up. Below are some photos of today’s incredible sunrise. Hope you enjoy.

I’m sure tomorrow’s sunrise, which by the way will be here sooner then I’d like, anyway, I’m sure it will be just as stunning. I don’t know why, but sunrises and sunsets are two of my favorite things. I am in awe of how perfect each one is. So similar in that the sun rises and sets every day and some days look super close to the day before, but there is always something a little different, ya just gotta look. I promise, you’ll find it.

I think seeing the sunrise is a wonderful reminder that God’s gifted his creation another day. Seeing the sunset is a reminder that no matter how crazy busy life gets or how hard and sad some days can be, there’s always something to be grateful for. The sunset is a reminder for me to be grateful that I made it through the day and that I am blessed with the opportunity to live on a lake and I’m surrounded by my family and some of the greatest friends I’ve ever been blessed to have in my life.

Today I got to enjoy some of those friendships. A bunch of us gals who live here in my condo complex decided to have some pool time. What an amazing group of ladies I get to have as friends and neighbors. Today was a good day. My tired is a good tired and that’s the best tired.

Well guys, it’s getting later by the minute and my eyes are heavy now, so I think I’ll say goodnight. Thank you for stopping by and I pray you all get a good night’s sleep.

Until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.

  1. I sure hope you get a break and some good news on the medical front. It’s no fun to spend more time running to fill medical requirements than living and doing the things you want to do. Judging by the awesome photos, you’re making the most of the time you do get to yourself! Prayers for easier days ahead!

    1. Hi Mary,
The pretzel was sooooo yummy. Wish I could have shared.
Solvang is a cute little town. Easy to walk and it’s small. I’m told it’s better to come during Christmas as there’s more to see and experience with the decorations. Honestly, I’m not a huge shopper, so for me, there wasn’t a whole lot to see, but it was worth the visit, the quiet time and I’ll definitely go back.
      Love you my friend
