A day in the garden

Happy Tuesday,

How are all you amazing friends of mine doing on the incredible Tuesday? I hope your day and evening have been as amazing as mine. I’m sitting here in my loft listening to the rain. The thunder has stopped, but it’s still drizzling and it sounds amazing. There’s a slight cool breeze and I am enjoying the calmness of my home.

The rain is the icing on the cake for me today. Today I bought a couple stepping stones for my garden and I will buy a few more now that I know how I want my garden to look. I found some incredible fairy houses to paint and add to my garden as well. I’ll begin painting for a couple hours next week at my local ceramics store.

Today while I was out gardening my neighbor Anita stopped over and asked me to go with her to our community garden. She has a garden bed there and so do I. Well, it’s not actually my garden bed per say. My sis Jeannie has it and along with our other sis Shawna. We’ve sort of stopped gardening because of some life’s challenges, but being back there today made me realize how much I miss going there and taking care of our garden bed.

Anita much to my surprise has been taking care of our little garden bed. She even planted a few veggies that are starting to take off.

While water the garden beds today, Anita and I were chatting about the incredible therapy gardening does for each of us.

I took a few photos of some of her plants and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did today.

Below are the photos:

I was blessed to capture the droplets on this flower below:

In the photo below you’ll see the little visitors that decided to make their home on my tomato plant. I’m told it’s a tomato hornworm. Hopefully we can rehome them to a better place that is not on my tomato plant.

I wish this little guy was a caterpillar, but he’s not. He’s still cute, just not for my garden. I had so much fun taking these photos at the community garden and I enjoyed thouroughly working in my own garden out front.

I feel more spiritual this evening and I feel more connected to not only my creator, but to my home. Gardening is a wonderful way to escape the crazy and reconnect to the more important things in life.

I hope the photos brought you as much joy as they did me.

I’m off to bed now, but I would like to leave you with this final quote:

Until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs
