Sunday fun day

Happy Sunday my dear friends,

How are you all doing on this fabulous Sunday evening? Did you enjoy your couple of days off? Do anything exciting? I’d love to hear all about what you did, so shoot me a text or drop me a comment, you know you always make my day a little better when I hear from you.

My weekend was fantastic. Yesterday I got to sleep in a little bit. It was amazing. John got up and took the pups for a walk for me. It felt so good to not have any responsibility yesterday. I loved it. I got to spend the day with Grant and some of my girlfriends playing bingo. My one friend won a little cash and Grant one a $5 coupon towards his next bingo, which will be in a couple of weeks. One of my triplets and I are going and taking Grant and her son. The boys are good friends, so it will be super nice to have them try their hand at bingo. I think a couple more of my friends will be going along to play too. It’s always amazing when we all get together and spend time doing something fun. I am beyond blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends.

Today was just as nice as yesterday. The pups and I slept in until 8. We got up, did our walk then came home and share a peanut butter English muffin together. No, I don’t let them take bites off my muffin, but I do cut up some bites and give it to them to enjoy while I get to eat mine. I don’t mind sharing with the pups because I honestly don’t need so many carbs. We do enjoy our peanut butter though. Yummy.

I didn’t go anywhere today. It felt amazing just being home. I did accomplish a few things that needed to be done, but overall, I got to just stay home. I love being home and I can’t wait to be able to enjoy more days like today.

This evening John and I, along with our friend Sandy went down to the look out area and enjoyed chatting and watching the sunset over our amazing lake. It was simply the best way to wrap up this incredible weekend. Of course tomorrow begins another busy week. I do have some fun things planned however. Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment in San Diego, but Tuesday evening I get to enjoy a sushi dinner with Kaitlyn and Jagger. I love my girls. I think John plans to join us too, and maybe Grant. Thursday evening I get to go to a paint and sip with Jagger and my friend Sandy. I love painting and it’s always fun to spend time with Jagger and Sandy.

Saturday will be an amazing day. I get to go to what promises to be the best birthday party ever. Aunt Billie is turning 100 on Saturday and I can’t wait to help celebrate this amazing woman in my life. She is one of my favorite people and she’s absolutely the most loving, kind and compassionate women I know. She’s also the smartest. I adore my Aunt Billie and I’m so grateful she’s still her with us. I hate to imagine a day without her. Anyway, we won’t think about that right now. We’ll just enjoy the days and moments we have left with her in our world.

Today I did get 4 of the 7 Easter baskets done. I’m waiting on a couple of things so I can finish up Tate’s basket, Jagger and Kaitlyn’s and of course, John’s basket. Tommy, Kevin and Grant’s baskets are done. I’ll share photos with you all after Easter. I was going to share once I finished them all, but I don’t want John to see his until the “Easter” bunny drops it off for him.

It’s funny, I was telling John again today that I need to down size a lot of my holiday decor. I explained why I need to do this, then at the end of our chat I told him to disregard everything I just said. I can’t imagine not being able to decorate for each and every holiday. Maybe I don’t need 25 Christmas trees, so I might be able to in a few years get rid of some of those, but I love walking into my home, especially at Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and being surrounded by everything holiday. It brings me so much joy and happiness being immersed in nothing but Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween. I do love Easter too, and Valentines Day. Oh, I can’t forget 4th of July. That was my daddy’s favorite holiday so I love to add a little extra flare to my home in honor of him.

I guess when you think about it I’m a lost cause when it comes to decorating. For now, I’ll just figure out how to better organize my holiday decorations and maybe not buy so many craft things moving forward. I am going to try and sell a bunch of my crafting things at the upcoming craft fair that my community holds every year. Maybe I can turn my crafting into a little side hustle. Make a little money, or at least recoup a little money. Either way it will be fun to continue down my crafting journey.

Today I hung up a small valance I made out of ribbon. Below is a photo of how it turned out. Thoughts?

I think it’s a little fun and whimsical. I can’t decide if I want to add some eggs and twine to the valance, but for now, I’m calling it done.

It sure has been wonderful being home and enjoying lake life, writing, crafting and taking online classes. I feel at true peace when I’m home. I love getting up in the morning with the pups and taking our walk. I enjoy so much being able to come home after our walk and having a cup of coffee, a peanut butter muffin and enjoying my amazing lake views. I can’t think of wanting to be anywhere but home. Not interruptions, no leaving or having to be anywhere, just home. I’ve learned over the last few months to never take home for granted again. I feel safe and at peace when I’m home.

I can’t think of a finer quote at this very moment in my life. I have felt like the richest person in the world staying home today. It is my ultimate luxury to stay home and enjoy time doing the things that make me happy. I get to write. I get to read a little bit. I get to bake and enjoy some walks. I get to see my friends and neighbors and I get to enjoy watching the sun set and boats out on the lake. Life was exceptionally good this weekend. I feel blessed.

Below are some photos of tonight’s sunset over the lake. I hope you enjoy.

And on this note, I think I’ll say goodnight to you. I’ve really enjoyed writing to you all this evening. I’ve been taking lots of notes on future blog content that I’d like to share with you in the upcoming days and weeks.

I love being able to write to you and just share what life is like for me right now. I’m still in search for time to be able to just write and pour out all my thoughts, however, until I can buy out the time to truly write, I do want to thank you for your patience and for taking the time to not only read my blog, but encourage me through your loving comments. This community means so much to me and being able to talk and share is such a gift. You are all gifts in my life and I am grateful to have you in my corner.

Sleep well my dear friends. I’ve enjoyed chatting and please don’t forget, until next time, Love Life++ Hugs

    1. Haha, thank you. I think sometimes I simply talk out loud and when I hear myself I’m like heck no on that rodeo. I love my decorations, though I could organize things a little better I suppose.
I’m glad you had a good weekend. Sometimes the best of times are spent doing nothing at all. Hugs to you my dear friend.
