Hello Friday

Happy Friday everyone,

It is Friday and I’m all packed and ready for a three day cruise with some pretty amazing ladies so I won’t be posting or checking emails until my return on Monday. I hope you all have the greatest of weekends and I pray you are all staying safe with all these California fires if you are living in one of the affected areas.

Weather on the ship is calling for cool temperatures and some rain on Sunday which isn’t great for lounging pool side, but that’s okay, it will be wonderful just relaxing and being with friends. We always have a great time together.

Today we will be wearing matching shirts on board and to dinner. Making today an easy kinda of day. Tomorrow is our tea party attire and I’m beyond excited to see what everyone is wearing. Sunday is our nautical themed night and this too will be loads of fun to see what everyone comes up with to wear. We all live on a lake, so nautical should be rather easy, I think.

Usually we choose only one night to dress up or have a theme, but this cruise we’ve decided to choose a theme for every night. I’ll post some photos when I get home and back to my computer.

I am blessed to have such wonderful and amazing friends. We really do enjoy our time together and its nice to get away for a weekend and spend time together. The best part of my girl tribe is, no drama. We don’t gossip. We don’t sit around and bag on our husbands. We stay in the now and we stay in the positive.

A big blessing with our girl tribe is if someone is struggling we’re always there to help and listen, however, we never make our time together anything but empowering, relaxing and enjoyable. I’ve never had a girl tribe, I’ve never had friends that don’t judge and in my previous cult life, I never was able to go away with girlfriends. I was closely monitored of my whereabouts and the same held true for most of my conversations, therefore, they really didn’t exist outside of my ex-husbands earshot. Talks with my sons were the only thing that didn’t have someone overseeing me. That was a blessing and because I was able to talk with them we do have a close relationship to this day.

I am blessed that John supports girl tribe time. I am blessed that John encourages my friendships and I am blessed knowing he’ll be excited to see me Monday.

I wish I could spend time writing/blogging while cruising, however, we did not buy the internet package, so no blogging and uploading and that too is okay. No internet means staying in the present and staying better connected with my friends. That’s a good thing.

I will be writing in my journal when I have some quiet time. I will be taking lots of photos and I will be in the now and enjoying time with friends, which after all, is the whole point of our weekend.
