One home

Happy Tuesday evening,

How are you all doing on this wonderful Tuesday evening? How was your weekend? Can you believe we are just days until Thanksgiving? Only 9 more to go. Ugh, I honestly have lost an entire week of my life and I’m not sure exactly where. You see, I thought I had 2 more Thursday’s until Thanksgiving and I only have one and I have 15 people coming this year. Oh, and today, someone asked me the date. I swore it was the 18th and it’s the 19th. Not sure what is going on, but I’m totally losing track of all kinds of time.

Life is flying by and we are that much closer to Christmas. I am beyond excited. This will be our first year at the lake for John and I. What I mean by this is, we’ve always had two homes and John’s always had to head back to San Diego shortly after Christmas, but now, he’s home and I’m loving it. This is an extra special Christmas getting to wakeup together here in our home. We’ll of course go spend Christmas Day with John’s parents and family, but when we’re done celebrating, we get to come back home to our wonderful lake house. I already feel more relaxed knowing we don’t have to be between two homes.

I love decorating our home for the holidays. I love knowing we’ll have at least 3 of our 4 sons home for Thanksgiving and I’m excited to host even though I somehow misplaced a week somewhere along the way and I’m feeling tad bit behind schedule.

Below is a little glimpse into my Thanksgiving decorations. I didn’t go all out like I did for Halloween, but let me say, hang on because Christmas is coming. That’s my favorite holiday to decorate for. I can’t wait. I don’t think I’ll be doing 28 trees this year, perhaps half.

I’ll share more photo’s in tomorrow’s blog.

I love this time of year. The holidays, decorating and spending time with family and friends. I appreciate the memories we make and the ones we share. I’ve learned to take more photos and to be in more photos, even though I’m not a big fan of the way I look in them.

“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends and family belong and laughter never ends.”-unknown.

I hope my home can always be an example of love and laughter. I hope those that visit make a memory or two. I hope my sons and their beautiful gals always find their way here and know the door is always open to them. I hope love always resides here.

“A house is made with walls and beams; a home is built on love and dreams.”-Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I can’t imagine being anywhere else but here in our lake home but if God decides I need to be somewhere else, then I’ll carry this same dream of home with me.

Well guys, I do hope you are doing well, staying safe and enjoying your own homes. Until next time, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite and one last thing, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.

    1. Thank you Mary. I’ll be posting the newest addition to my decorations. My blow up Scarecrow.
I told John last night that I have a serious problem. He laughed and said, “spending money?” Of course I said no to that, though he’s right. Anyway, I told him my problem is decorating. I can’t stop. I’m obsessed. I’m the only one in my neighborhood whose decorated to this level outside. John laughs and tells me, “you were deprived for nearly 50 years of your life and now you’re making up for it.” I’m so thankful he’s supporting me and understanding how much the decorations make me so happy.

    1. You are too my friend. I’ve never had anyone enter into my life and give so much like you and a few other amazing friends I’ve made blogging. The bag you made me is such a treasure. Every time I use it or even look at it I think of you and the kindness you’ve shown me.
