Happy voting day everyone,
How are you all doing on this amazing Tuesday afternoon? I hope your day is as beautiful as you. Shoot me a text or drop me a comment, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s catch up. Tell me what your doing in your neck of the woods. You know you make my day when I get a note from you.
Today is such a special day for me. It’s voting day and the reason it’s so special to me is because for most of my life, I was ordered to stand down and stay neutral in anything and everything political.
I was not allowed to vote or participate in anything that was of political nature. I was raised in a cult where we were taught as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, we were no part of the world just as Jesus was no part of the world. I’ll write about this more later, however, the scripture the JW’s use is at John 17 verse 16. Of course they take scripture out of context and they use their own Bible, The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.
Anyway, as a witness I was taught that we had to mirror the life of Jesus to the best of our ability and even then, our good was never good enough. Again, I’ll write about this later.
In the NWT version of the scriptures, the JW version it says at John 17:16, “16 They are no part of the world,+ just as I am no part of the world.”
My entire life up until the last election in 2020 I didn’t participate in one of our greatest freedoms, that of being able to openly vote for who we feel is the best candidate to govern our country. I can’t change history, but moving forward I will continue to vote for the persons I feel best to serve our country.
Today I voted and I am proudly wearing my little “I Voted” sticker.

I am proud of myself. I filled out my ballot and walked into the voting place and cast my ballot. I picked up my little sticker and placed it right over my heart. Today is a special day for me because I am free of the cult of Jehovah’s Witnesses and I used my voice to vote in this very monumental election.
I’ve heard it said that 2024 is a very important election with much at stake, but I’m not here to debate my views and my choices. I’m only here to let you know, I voted!
I believe strongly that we are individuals with the ability to think for ourselves and vote according to our core values and what we believe in. Whether we are Republican or Democrat, Independent or whatever else is on the ballot, it’s our choice and it’s part of our freedom as Americans to use that freedom to vote.
Whomever you voted for, that’s your choice. I may not agree with your decision and you may not agree with mine and that’s okay. I respect your choice. I respect your right to vote according to the way you see fit.
When the outcome of this election comes down I pray that we have peace. I know a lot of people are afraid of the outcome of election 2024 and I understand that. I believe strongly in my candidate and I hope you believe strongly in yours. I hope our votes count towards what is in the best interest of this country.
Voting is a very personal honor and freedom. One side will win and one side will lose and that’s okay. That’s what democracy is all about.
According to Britannica, a democracy is defined -“Democracy is a system of government in which power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or through freely elected representatives.”
“The vote is precious. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democratic society, and we must use it.”-John Lewis.

I am proud to be an American. I am proud that I’ve joined the ranks of voting for the person I feel is best suited to run our country. I am proud that I am among the precious folks in American who vote and who accept the outcome, whether we agree or not. That’s part of freedom after all.
Well guys, I gotta be saying goodbye for now. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read today’s blog.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Stay safe and don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.
Congratulations on making your voice and vote heard. May it be according to the Lord’s will who He chooses to occupy the greatest office in the world.
