Progress Revised

Happy Saturday,

How is everyone doing this fine Saturday afternoon? I do hope you are doing well and staying safe. Any good plans for the weekend? I plan on finishing my vision board. Before you say anything, I know I said it would be done by Friday. I have started on it. I have been saving photos to my phone of some of the things I see putting out to the Universe that I want. Someone told me the other day, the Universe doesn’t read your mind, it reads and listens to what you put out there. She didn’t say it couldn’t read your mind, she said it won’t read your mind. I believe this. I was talking with my friend Leslie the very next day and she had asked me if I had received an email or text from from a mutual friend of ours. I told her no and she was a little surprised and honestly, I was too. By talking to Leslie about it, I had put it out there to the Universe. I swear to you, as soon as I hung up the phone with Leslie, I had a message from the very person we were both surprised I hadn’t heard from up to that point. What are your thoughts on putting things out to the Universe? Shoot me a comment or send me a message. I love hearing from you.

I wanted to talk today about progress. With so many changes happening in life these days, I thought this topic seemed fitting. For me, it’s always been that if I don’t see results right away, I don’t feel like anything is happening. I suppose John is right, I need to work on patience. I saw this amazing quote regarding progress that I wanted to share. “Stop thinking you have to be 100% changed by tomorrow. Hitting goals, creating new habits, changing your mindset, following dreams-takes time. So maybe tomorrow you are 99% stuck and 1% on track. Celebrate the 1%, and maybe the next day you are 98% stuck and 2% on track. Celebrate the 2%. It’s easy to see the stuck and miss the fact that you are in fact growing, changing and making progress. All those 1% and 2% add up. Value them.”-Rachel Marie Martin. I love the way this was expressed. It has helped change my mindset and help me focus on the little goals rather than only seeing the end results. It seems to be true that life is a marathon and not a sprint. We must enjoy the little things in life so we don’t miss out on the amazing, little and simple things. This morning, I saw tucked away on my little plant, it’s first little bud getting ready to bloom. If I would of been on my normal quick to get what I needed out of the cabinet pace, I would of missed seeing this amazing little moment in the life of my plant. I know that sounds simplistic, however, I think it could possible apply to many aspects of our lives. Slow down, enjoy the journey and keep going and keep growing. That’s called progress.

It seems as though in my mind I always focused more on the end result instead of the journey. I missed so many amazing moments in life by doing that. I believe in part it was due to the way I was raised. You see, being raised as a JW, we were taught to keep our eyes on the prize. This system of things in which we live are ending, so I, along with so many others raised within the organization, have missed out on so many wonderful and magnificent things. Most of the time, however, I don’t think we realized it. You see, the focus when I was being indoctrinated as a JW. I was to look to the new system of things, a paradise earth, a place where our dead loved ones would be raised up and we’d see them again. I was taught there is no good in the world I was born into, while all along, I was being taught to be judgmental of other people, unaccepting of their opinions and belief systems and that the God they where teaching me about was good, when actually he was an unloving, unforgiving and basically hateful God. I bought into the propaganda laid out before me and accepted it as good and loving, when I was simply being taught to have fear of my God if I didn’t live up to all these requirements taught by Watchtower. The whole teaching was actually candy coating over their corrupt teachings.

Leaving the organization has freed me. I’m slowly, but surely making progress to a better life. I had a young person comment on one of my blogs. I’m not sure if this person is a boy or girl and it really isn’t important, what is important to me in his/her comment. This sweet young person said, “IDK, maybe I just grew up and realized the world wasn’t butterflies and flowers.” Young person also mentioned fear mongering. This saddened me at the same time gave me hope that this younger generation of kids growing up within Watchtower are seeing that they are being taught out of fear. If this is the case, the younger generation is making progress to a better life. I was sad that this young person feels though, that the world isn’t butterflies and flowers. There is a lot of evil in the world, absolutely, but there is also a ton of good. We have paradise conditions all around us. Just look at the beauty of the mountains after it snows. Go walk along the beach and see that no two waves are the same. Look at how many different kinds of dogs you see on a walk, we just have to open our eyes to it.

Progress is making any movement forward. If we are standing still we certainly aren’t growing. Goals take hard work and you have to want to progress towards them and as a person. You have to be willing to open your mind to new things and want to experience the amazing world in which we live. I know without the love and support of a couple close friends and family, along with John, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m told I have courage, yet I think it was because of these few special people in my life, that I was able to tap into it. “She was brave. Maybe she didn’t see it. Maybe she dismissed it. Maybe she forgot it. But in it all, she was brave. Not because of the big things, but rather, for all the moments where she kept on showing up. She kept on trying and she kept on loving. That is brave.”-Rachel Marie Martin.

We just have to keep showing up and believing in ourselves. We make progress, even if it’s only a half a % at a time. While keeping your “Eyes on the Prize,” whatever that prize might look like isn’t a bad thing, we need to keep ourselves in the present. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why they call it the present.”-Eleanor Roosevelt. The teachings of the prize that JW’s keep an eye on is a wonderful and amazing one. Who wouldn’t want the “eyes of blind ones to see again, and deaf ones hear again? To see deserts bloom as the rose, and from parched ground fresh waters flow? When loved ones never have to part? A time when old ones will be young again, all good things will never cease, joy and peace are everywhere, then you’ll see the dead rise.”-JW.Org, song 24. This is a wonderful prize, I’m not scoffing at the beauty in all of this, what I do bite back at, is having the lives of so many people, including myself, blocked from being able to see the wonderful things in the world now. I’m making progress in moving forward towards my goals and aspirations and I feel I have God backing me. It’s okay to have your eye on the prize as long as you don’t forget to enjoy the journey to your final destination. I believe strongly that’s what the Universe intended for us all, to learn and progress one simple step at a time.

How’s your progress looking these days? What progress do you want to see yourself make? Make those vision boards and put it out there to this wonderful Universe we have and see where you are taken. Progress makes for a wonderful ride in this crazy, mixed up life we live. One foot in front of the other. Remember, when we fall, it’s simply the Universe correcting our path. Dust off those knees and kick off the dust and get out there and live your best life possible, and along the way, please remember, Love Life++

  1. Hi Dawna, one problem I had with progress was the too many irons in the fire effect. It is a little different than lack of motivation, it is too much of it and then effort gets to dispersed and things get delayed as a result. But in it I sort of happened upon a progress in the broader view many interests can also form.

Now one aspect of the progress was aided by JWs. In fact their cult anomaly is actually the same old story as far as “ministerial apostasy” goes. They are not unique and that is why they also have a menu of pretty much any other doomsday religion merely modified with a few new terms and a couple twists in their story. But, the deception is the same, a few are saved and everyone against us is destroyed. How grand a “hope” that is!

Of course I am being sarcastic. With an interest in science and keeping up with the latest quantum and Superstring concepts and the “ages old” Christian universalism of a total redemption scenario, I see one, Christian Universalism never took in the mainstream and it never tapped the quantum intelligence aspects of science thought. But, that is a good thing because imo religion was never going to be a vehicle except for corruption and mind control for profit by deceit.

The truth is all the basics are available to anyone as the Universe unwinds the process for them personally one step at a time. It is free, it has no label. It is what it is, all it takes is time.

We are in a life process speculated on in the sciences which has held the earth in a life supporting form for over 3 billion years. That makes an end of the world event highly unlikely. But it also shows humans did not arrive long ago, but even in the science estimate within half a million of those years on down to 300,000 and 40,000 and the Biblical which can also be in the tens of thousands in the Adamic “pre-Edenic” state plainly present in the text of “man’s formation”. This is not saying that a timeline does not form way later [after] the Edenic expulsion event, but that the per-Edenic state and the Edenic state durations are TOTAL UNKNOWNS right in Genesis 1.

It has ALL been subverted by religious interpreters with no science backgrounds.

To me, interpretation is what tries to keep truths of science and prophecy separate. But I do not mean the candy coating use of prophecy meant to plaster the whitewash over religious corruption. I mean basic principles of the universal advancement of life. Religious interpretation I fully avoid for a better progress with a little help from science. Science is the real human institution where truth is the constant goal, and that being physical system truth not that for use by dogma systems.

In my progress after seeing JWs as just an apostasy and a cult, I also used science to keep my hope more than alive, but also taken to a new level. This is because in the “Possibilian” paradigm of open to all hypothesis thinking in the context of an enormous universe and enormous time scales…

    David Eagleman on Possibilianism

…IF science has any truth and IF prophecy has any truth they will be of the same super-set of a universally present absolute truth reality we barely have even scratched the surface of by either means.

And interestingly, prophecy is interested in “perfect genetics”. And so is science in the “genetic singularity” concepts of futurism. Perfect genetics equates to everlasting biological life, not just human forms in both science and prophecy. Science is interested in planetary restoration principles and sustainability models. Well, lo and behold the concept is also present in prophecy too. Science is interested in energy control and so is Romans 8:18-22 which is a physically decayless world based on a new entropy application as its basic science.

In science galactic group acceleration could form a state of timelessness.

So, the “end goal” of prophecy’s physical aspects for this planet just so happen to also be fully present in the sciences. All I had to do was remove the subversive ideas of WT, in my case, to see that pattern already formed. To me, it is the same story overall and all boxes will have pieces of the puzzle, not just “one box”.

In the JW case it is their “one box” of “the truth”, when in fact it is skewed and incomplete at best. Other religions also sell this box. They can be used to snag a few pieces, but in a boxless universal generality INDIVIDUAL “puzzle building” is all that matters. Religions try to hi-jack it to “save you time and effort” and just accept our picture, here you go, STOP THINKING, and brother can you spare a buck as well? THAT is how WTBTS amassed tens of BILLIONS in assets. The sale of the “one boxed” puzzle, their fraud puzzle.

Well, the universe is the physical component which set us all here and its has a puzzle and its pieces are EVERYWHERE and it is up to us to just take life a day at a time and in its own way pieces will fall into our lives.

When WT first failed in my eyes, I had no idea it opened a door to the world with far more hope than they sell in their dark tower. Like the Truman Show, exiting WT is THE START of life anew. It does not mean all prophecy and hope have also failed and that now God and the universe are a lie. It means quite simply the WT experiment in a ministry failed and it ALONE is its own lie and its self-importance need not extend beyond its sole singular failure here. We can learn even from that failure, we can learn WHAT NOT TO DO NEXT TIME! LOL

Have a good one, thanks for the articles.

    1. Hello KingNorth,
Thank you for the reply. First let me tell you I’m sorry I haven’t responded sooner. This past week and a half have been a bit crazy. Had a family member pass due to Covid and also two other people I knew passed within a day of each other. It wasn’t that I was close to them, it was their passing stirred up to much emotions of losing my dad a few months back.
I love how you mentioned the Truman show. I in fact just watched it the other day. He walked out of what he knew, what was familiar to a whole new adventurous and exciting life. Leaving watchtower for many of us is and was scary, yet I know I could never go back. There are times I miss the community I left, then I remind myself that I left a religion/cult, not my friends and if they chose to shun me because I think differently now, then their time in my life is over and I wish them well.
I have been hearing a lot about quantum physics and quantum theories on some of the Gaia shows I’ve been binge watching. So fascinating and at times, much of the time over my head, but the point is, if I was still a JW, I never would of been open to learning so much more about life, and the marvelous universe around us.
Growing up JW, I had a very sheltered life. Being a JW wife I was even suppressed. Even as of late, when my ex asked if I wanted to get back together, I asked him what he thought that might look like as I don’t want to be a JW anymore. He replied with “that’s okay, I can’t make you go to meetings, but I do think within the next year or two you would need to go back.” Sums it doesn’t it? His mind belongs to them and he can’t let go of the control that they have over him and that he wants to keep over me.
One door has closed, that one belonging to Watchtower and now another door has opened. One of uncertainty for sure, one that I still question from time to time, but when I sit and really think about what it is that I miss, it’s not the meetings, its not the teachings and for sure it isn’t the preaching work, it’s the community of people I had in my life. I’m done being a robot and fitting into the cookie cutter mold of the Watchtower society, instead, I’m embracing being unique and I can’t wait to see where this journey of my new life takes me.
Thank you friend for your wonderful comments. They really make me think.
      Until next time, Love Life++

  2. The universe is enormous and scientists like Newton and Einstein and modern cosmologists and theoretical physicists all know it is one of immense order in why we can even test science truths by theory, tests and observation. We would have no science, it would be an academic religion of hearsay sold as certainty, IF we could not learn from the physical world and the principles upon which the cosmos has been operating for possibly tens of billions of years, as 14 billion is the current estimate.

    How Big is the Universe?

Now in a universe which is 93 billion light years in diameter, how can the “speed of light” 14 billions years ago, have created physicalities and radiant echoes theorized in science now 45 BILLION light years into space as the universal half-diameter radius? And that since after 1980 in science upon a now universal expanding paradigm of ACCELERATION which could encompass 23 TRILLION light years now!

It means as much as we know, we do not know it all. Far from it. But, that is fine, much to be expected, no reason to give up on science.

BUT, in such astronomic magnitudes KNOWN fully in theory in cosmology and astronomy sciences, anything is possible. In fact, more possibility lay in uncertainty than in narrow-minded religious group-dogmas based on certainty which is merely ASSUMED.

Being a person of faith I believed the possibility a God exists is just as much possible in a universe of this scale as the chances he does not exist. Einstein believed he exists, Michio Kaku believes it is possible, Isaac Newton and Carl Sagan and Charles Darwin entertained the POSSIBILITY! Not one of them was atheist, because that too would require absolute proof which scientists cannot think actually exists, for it does not. Yet, God’s existence cannot be proven as well in scientific realism.

BUT, the concept does exist with all those scientists just mentioned, they were NOT closed-minded just because they knew a few things in science most people have not the intellect to understand at their levels of insight.

That is fine, because prophecy concepts of eternal universality, perfect genetics based eternal life, perfect planetary management, possible super beings at universal scales BEYOND human, are ALL fully present concepts in science.

In fact for some of our modern greats in science listed in the above, they all verged into those very subjects!

To have explored the cosmic hugeness like Einstein or Sagan, to have made advancement in genetic understanding like Darwin, to have developed theories for the future sustainability and optimization of the planet like Michio, and to kept alive the possibility of a super God like ALL of them entertained, they are all concepts present in prophecy.

And not just Christian prophecy. Bible prophecy also contains the selfsame very basics of what a God and a Jesus recovery genetic and life passport are, with an express goal of timeless everlasting life for a restored planet and a universal future of man from a true super-Universal “Kingdom” of power! It is the same story overall!

The truth is, minus religious narrow-minded dogmatism, science and prophecy correlate and are actually one in base super-conceptualizations. They just use different wordings to describe what is basically the same story.

And that is why in these sciences we can also find support of these very ideas in prophecy, for science does NOT consider them fiction! Science merely admits we do not know how to do it yet, not that it is impossible!

Science considers it all future possibility too, and THAT is why science reveals absolute truths and mind expanding theories which actually support the true universal scale of life which always keeps open the possibility we are NOT the most intelligent beings in this universal here of 93 BILLION light years in diameter.

The truth is at that scale of universal power and intelligence expressed in that physicality of immense universal order, which did make a bullfrog and a man here, ANYTHING is possible. And the other truth is the actual time, power, and “understanding” in that universal system which science is now exploring just the dust layer of, is ALL that is needed to actually do all those things.

We know this universe has the space. We know this universe has the power. We know this universe has the time. The TIME is the variable which merely keeps moving forward, the other things required to “gitterdone” are ALREADY present.

Time is not stopping any time too soon. In time, is when the impossible becomes possible for humans and it’s possibilities are kept open in science and prophecy in there most basic concepts, even if elucidated now only by deep sciences. They all can be simplified to a degree ANYONE can understand: there is NO END!

Humans merely require being aligned into that eternity once and for all time, and it is within a finite timeline. If man got this far in the 3 billion years trek from the creation of single cell life to the evolution of the modern human being, imagine what the next 3 billion years holds along that same scale of advancement? A planetary to galactic to universal galactic form of evolved continuation into “God’s image” is what “time holds”, because he himself is nothing less and he stated the first chapter outline already, imo.

Think about it, plus we have all the time in the world and all the power in the universe itself to actually do it. Science knows this is possible. Religions have worked against science and have now “shut up the Kingdom before men” as a result. Yet, not even that can stop the universe now can it?

Nope, it is all just a matter of a little more time, and the Bible outlines a thousand years for chapter one. All truth which is of universal absolute validity upon which all physics and cosmology runs, will all end up encompassing every system of thought humans have developed to try to “figure this out”. It will keep what is true and filter out what is not in man’s admitted learning process.

Science has helped us understand how that refinement process actually works, not religion. That is why science and prophecy have shared subjects and views which are destined to become one universal whole starter truth for humans in eventual endless harmony. It is just a matter of a little more finite time.
