Hi friends,
How is are you all doing this evening? I hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday. I’d love to hear from you, so feel free to drop me a comment or shoot me a text/email. It’s so wonderful being able to connect with you all.
I hope your Sunday wrapped you in something soft today — a moment of peace, a burst of laughter, or maybe just the simple comfort of knowing you’re right where you’re meant to be.
Easter weekend always carries its own kind of magic, doesn’t it? A blend of renewal, family, and those tiny pockets of joy that sneak up on you when you’re not even looking. Today John and I spent time with his sister and her family, along with his parents, and it was one of those days that felt both lighthearted and grounding at the same time.
We laughed, we visited, we soaked in the sweetness of being together. And yes… we leaned fully into the Easter spirit. John’s family has always been so welcoming to me, and I am so grateful to be a part of their lives. They are pretty amazing people.
There’s something about being surrounded by people who love one another that settles the heart. The easy conversations, the familiar laughter, the way everyone naturally falls into their roles — it all felt like a reminder of how lucky we are to have these pockets of belonging.
And of course… we couldn’t resist leaning into the fun of it all.

Holidays have a way of bringing out the childlike parts of us — the parts that still believe in whimsy, still delight in simple things, still find joy in a pair of bunny ears and a room full of people who feel like home. I think that’s what I love most about days like today. They invite us to loosen our shoulders, breathe a little deeper, and remember that life doesn’t always have to be so serious.
As the evening settles in, I’m holding onto the sweetness of today — the warmth of family, the comfort of tradition, and the quiet renewal that Easter always seems to bring. Not the big, dramatic kind of renewal, but the gentle kind… the kind that whispers, “You’re growing, even here. Even now.”
Wherever you are tonight, I hope you felt a moment of lightness too.
A moment that reminded you you’re not alone.
A moment that made you smile without even realizing it.
So, here’s my little Sunday note to you:
May this season bring you softness where you need it, strength where you’ve earned it, and joy in the places you least expect it.
May you feel held by the people who love you.
May you remember that renewal isn’t a single moment — it’s a thousand tiny ones.
From my heart to yours,
Love Life++
Hugs,
Dawna
Wishing you a season of gentle renewal
