Time in the garden is time with the Creator

Happy Monday evening everyone!

How was your day? Today was Martin Luther King Jr. Day observed. How many of you were able to have the day off? No school? Shoot me a text or drop me a comment, I always love hearing from you.

Today was a struggle day for me. For some reason, I was hurtin’ and taking my sleepy meds later than usual didn’t help me get moving too quickly today. Around 3 I decided I wanted to be outside, so I went out and tinkered in my new backyard. I did a little planting of some of the plants I brought from the old house to here and all I can say is, despite the pain, it sure felt amazing being outside in nature.

For me, being out in the garden always helps me appreciate the Creator. I always feel closer to Him. While I’m working in the garden, I can’t help but thank Him for allowing me the opportunity to take care of some of His creations.

No matter what is happening in my life, when I retreat to my yard, I feel nothing but peace.

I forgot how peaceful gardening truly is. I have many plans and dreams for my yard. In time, I’ll be able to create exactly what I want and along the way, I’m sure I’ll change my mind 100+ times over.

It’s fun to dream. It’s a privilege to dream and it’s a blessing to be able to connect with Him, especially when I’m in the garden.

My dear friends, I sure hope we’re all watering the seeds and not the weeds. I hope we all find what brings us closer to Him. For me, it’s while working in my yard. I think for John, he feels closer to God when he’s sitting on our balcony admiring the never-ending views, or perhaps, it’s when he’s tinkering around the house fixing a gate or the screen door. Maybe it’s when he’s sitting in his office looking out over our backyard.

We all have our special time when we can escape deep in thought and talk to God. What does your special time look like? I’d love to hear.

Well guys, my sleepy medicine has finally kicked in and I feel like I’m beginning to ramble, so I’ll be saying goodnight for now.

Don’t forget, until next time, Love Life++ Hugs.
