Happy Saturday evening,
I do hope this blog finds you well. How was your Saturday? I’d love to hear what you all did today, so please shoot me a text or drop me a comment.
Today John and I went to lunch with our friends from San Diego. We met them at a little Mexican restaurant in Fallbrook. I had carne asada, but it sadly didn’t settle all that well in my tummy. I’m finding more and more that when I eat out, it doesn’t settle well. Perhaps I’m getting old or maybe I’m losing my taste for eating out. John didn’t care for his all that much either, but that’s okay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Art and Laura.
After we got home, John went right to work on a video that he’s making for our friends Halloween display. He does amazing work on the videos he puts together.
While John worked on the video I headed over to storage and to grab all our Halloween decorations. Now it’s time to set up and decorate for Halloween.
On my way back from storage I had to pull over and take in the amazing sunset that I was witnessing. There’s something about sunsets that melt my heart. Some more then others and while each sunset brings about it’s own magnificent awe, tonight’s was simply stunning.

The photos don’t do the sunset justice, but believe me when I say, it was absolutely stunning. I tried to capture it right when the sun touched the mountain before it’s final descent but I couldn’t find the right spot in time to get a photo. Next time.
I was thinking about how blessed I was to be able to witness God’s wonderful and glorious creation. Being able to see the sunsets and sunrises is such an honor that He bestows upon mem upon us.
“Sunsets are proof that endings can often be beautiful too.”-Beau Taplin.
At the end of today, I feel a sense of calm. While it was a busy day, it was one where I got to spend time with some dear friends and I got time with John. We got to talk and just be together and this morning he woke me up to the most amazing kiss. I like these kind of wake ups. I sure felt lots of love from him this morning and throughout the day.
Tonight we’re watching a movie together. Sixth Sense I believe it’s called. John wants some more ideas for his Halloween video. I know I’ve seen it before, but I had forgotten the twists in it. Great movie.
I’m excited for tomorrow and another sunset. Sunrises are amazing too, but sunsets are pretty darn incredible.
“Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens, every day can end beautifully.”-Kristen Butler.
Well dear friends, I hope your day and sunset were as amazing as you. Sleep well and until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.
Good and happy morning, my love. Thank you for sharing my wishes and prayers for you

Hi Dawna, your amazing sunsets even look like Halloween. John sounds talented. I’m sure his video will be great. How are you feeling? How’s the recovery, my friend?

Aww, thank you Mary. I’ve always been drawn to sunsets and you’re right, they do look like Halloween.
I am feeling different I guess is the best way to describe it. I’m in a lot of pain, however, I’m still feeling pain in places that have been so numb for years, so I try and look at it like it’s a good thing. Setting up some of the Halloween yesterday kicked my boot. I’m in a tad bit of extra pain today. The recovery is going well I suppose. I’m waiting on my doctor to get back to me to let me know if this is normal. I messaged him in MyChart this weekend, so I’m guessing I’ll hear back today.
How are you doing? I bet the trees are amazing in Illinois? Midwest falls are incredible.

I hope it is all normal healing, Dawn. I think it was a good idea to check with the doctor.
