Hello everyone,
How are you all doing tonight? If you’re in the fire areas here in California, prayers are with you all.
I’m not in the fire area per say, however, I live close enough to be affected by the extremely poor air quality due to the smoke covering our sky, so I guess I am in the fire area. It’s within 15 miles of my home.
I walked out to my car this morning and it was covered in soot. I went to a doctor appointment in San Diego and when I was driving home, it was literally raining soot. I pray these fires are contained soon. Too much damage already. Below is a photo of me driving towards the freeway. You can see the smoke covered sky.

Below is a photo of how close the fire is. This fire, the Airport Fire has crossed over the Ortega Hwy. and now, so many more mandatory evacuations are in place.

And below is a photo of what our sun looked like as it was rising. The fires are so beyond destructive, it’s amazing how such a horrible thing could bring about such a glorious sunrise.

These fires are out of control and peoples lives are affected on horrific levels. My friend’s daughter and family showed up at her home at 2:30 a.m. because they had been evacuated. School districts have closed schools, canceled sporting events and any type of sports or music practice. One school district sent out an email early this morning saying “don’t show up for anything at school today, stay home.”
With so many fires going on, there’s no doubt our amazing and dedicated firefighters are out in full force fighting these fires, leaving their families behind and losing sleep. These men and women fight fires to save the lives of everyone in their communities and beyond. They act selflessly and give it their all.
Thank you to all fire-fighters and first responders and medical staff. Thank you to all volunteers who have made themselves available to help people evacuate their homes, to those that are giving shelter to others, including pets. Thank you for helping supply food for those misplaced and given them clothing and other necessities.
These are definitely hard times for so many with so much uncertainty for those who have been forced to leave their homes. They have no clue if they’ll return to a home or the remnants of what once was.
Yesterday I shared with you all about my amazing Aunt Billie who suffered a heart attack Sunday and I talked about how precious time truly is. We never know what tomorrow will bring.
Last night many folks went to sleep in their beds and tonight they are misplaced due to time and unforeseen circumstances. I hope tonight as you lay your head on your pillow, you will join me in saying a prayer for all those not only affected by the fires, but for those out there giving their all to fight these fires, including all first responders, hospital workers and volunteers who are doing what they can to help.
My dear readers, I pray you are all safe and sound tonight. Hugs to everyone whose reached out with your supportive, kind and loving comments and thank you all for your well wishes for my amazing Aunt Billie.
Please take a moment to tell your family you love them. Time is precious and things can change in the blink of an eye.
Don’t forget, until next time, Love Life++ Hugs.
“Like” doesn’t really mean I like the wildfires; but I like the way you write.
But, actually, in another sense, fires are a natural part of nature recycling.

Oh, no, Dawna. The smoke alone would literally kill me. What a bizarre time we live in. You are in my prayers. May the rains come, and the fires become contained immediately.

We certainly do live in bizarre times. The weather decided to cool down a bit, so this morning the smoke wasn’t as bad, but they’re still evacuating folks in the Big Bear area, so a little rain would be great.

May God help everyone. I wish you and everyone safety. May God extinguish the fires. If it were not for God’s help, we would not have spent a second on the ground.
