Open your eyes

Happy Thursday,

How are you doing on this hot, yet amazing day? One more work day and then we launch the weekend. Any plans for the weekend? Shoot me a text or drop me a comment, I love hearing from all of you.

For me, I’ll be staying home. Hopefully my niece still plans to stop over. Either way, I’ll most likely jump in the pool and then finish up organizing my bedroom. I’ve finally hit the wall and decided to jump in and get things cleaned and organized. It’ll take me some time, but that’s okay. I also have some super cute signs for my balcony that I want to hang. I love my balcony, but it’s a hot mess right now too. Time to get things done. Unpacking more boxes will have to wait, at least for me. I need to organize the hot mess I’m already looking at. My room.

I am so super excited about all my new subscribers and so grateful for you wonderful subscribers who’ve stuck around for so long with me. I just need 38 more subscribers to hit my goal for my birthday. So please hit the like button and subscribe. I plan to work this weekend on a step by step guide to subscribing, so stayed tuned for that. I know sometimes figuring out how to subscribe to my blog can be challenging.

I feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing blogging community. The support that I receive, not only from blog readers, but from the blogging community itself is overwhelming and I feel humbled by the support I get. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hugs to each and everyone of you.

I have something I want to share with you because I believe it’s true. It’s not only a reminder for myself, but a reminder from me to you;

“Darling, open your eyes! You’re not made of the words that hurt you, or the number on the scale, or the expectations you feel you’ll never meet. You’re made up of nothing more than you. Simply, beautifully, wonderfully, uniquely you. You’re a lovely and complex soul. A fascinating combination of thoughts, ideas, feeling, emotions. no other is as beautiful as you. Look past the mirror. Look at yourself. Only then will you see yourself as you truly are… BEAUTIFUL! Don’t forget to love yourself.”-unknown

In case nobody told you this today, you deserve to hear these words and believe them, because they are true. You are wonderful and beautiful you.

We are each so wonderfully made. We are as unique as our fingerprints, no two are exactly alike, not even for identical twins. That’s our gift right there. Nobody is exactly the same as us.

I challenge you all and I challenge myself to go look in the mirror and say one positive thing about yourself for and entire week, then, drop me a comment and let me know what amazing quality you recognized about yourself. I’ll do the same. So today is Thursday, next Thursday’s blog will be about the one thing I was able to remind myself of. Let’s fill this blog site with nothing but positive affirmations about ourselves, even if it is, just for a day.

I know what I’m asking won’t be easy for some. A lot of us have had little to no self-esteem, but it’s time we change that, wouldn’t you agree? My therapist has challenged me to release the negative thoughts I have about myself and the negative ideas that others planted in my mind from the time I was a little girl.

Obviously I had to accept the challenge, and I thought it might be fun to have you all join in with me. Male or female, or whatever you identify as, I challenge you to look in your mirror everyday and remind yourself of how amazing you are. How uniquely made you are and I want you to tell yourself one positive affirmation each day, beginning today.

READY! SET! GO!

With so much negative in the world, let’s try and flip our own negative thoughts into positive ones. Open your eyes to the amazing things in your life. We all have something to be grateful for, don’t we?

Beautiful souls, I appreciate you and I hope you know just how wonderful you are.

Until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.

    1. Thank you Mary. I did get my swim in today, now, it’s time to make a little dinner then get to decluttering a small part of my room. One area at a time. I’m ready to have my room as my sanctuary. Hugs to you my friend. Enjoy your evening
