Happy Tuesday,
How are you all doing on this amazing Tuesday afternoon? All is well here. Trying to catch up after my cruise weekend. Did some grocery shopping, meal prepped, got the mail and now, I’m finally able to sit down and catch up with all you wonderful readers.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time and continue to take time to read my blog. I love the likes and comments, so please, please, please, keep them coming. You make my day every time I see a new like or comment. I am beyond blessed to have all of you in my life.
Today has been a busy one, and I am glad to be home. Tomorrow I’m back in San Diego for the entire day and then back to San Diego again on Thursday for my brain MRI. Thank goodness John will be able to take me to that one. I hate MRI’s, they literally freak me out. I hate being so Closter-phobic and to top things off, UCSD does not offer their patients open MRI’s. UGH, wish me luck.
It looks like John is making himself at home which makes me happy. While I was on the weekend cruise he fixed the downstairs toilet seat, which is a good thing. Would hate for anyone to sit and slide right off. He also installed a new doorbell unit. Now we can see who is at the door and what packages are being delivered. John even added music while our guests wait for us to answer. He’s such a techie.
John also fixed the microwave door handle and set up my new blog page. He was a busy guy. I think he always felt like he was visiting the lake house and now, he’s made it his lake home. Shh, don’t tell him, but I do need to work more with him to keep things a little neater and tidier.
He just finished the doorbell install and he was so cute, he came in the house and said, “darlin, we’re fixing up our home.” He-he, he surely is having fun. He’s like a kid in a candy store with all the fun things he’s been doing.
It’s nice to see someone you love being able to embrace themselves in their new home. Molly and Oreo ae enjoying lake life too.
Last night John and I went on a long golf cart ride. It was nice to just be outside, enjoying the summer breeze. I’m hoping for more late evening rides listening to the music and just being together.
This weekend we will be able to enjoy our first boat parade and for the 4th of July, we’ll be at Happy Camp enjoying fireworks and an all day bbque with our friends. I’m super excited.
I’m also excited to finally be home here in the lake. I’m excited to have John home too. We’ve made some pretty amazing friends who we call framily. We’re building our lives together right here in the lake.
“Your home should tell the story of who you are and be a collection of what you love.”-Nate Berkus.
I’m excited to ease up on some doctor appointments so I can stay home. I want to start fixing up our home. I can hardly wait to turn our bedroom into a sanctuary. I have the most beautiful view from my master bedroom sliding glass doors. I think it will be my new place to write, as soon as I find the right chair that is.
I want to declutter so many things. One room at a time. I’m excited for this new adventure. I’m excited to create a home and begin planting in my garden. John has requested a lime tree, so that might just be the first thing I plant.
“Gardening is the work of a lifetime: you never finish.”-Oscar De La Renta.
I suppose when I really get my garden up and running, I won’t ever be able to move. Once I begin planting my trees and veggies, I’ll need to stay planted in order to see the fruits of my gardening prosper. I think this is a pretty good reason to never move. I just love my home and John seems to be loving our lake home too.
“Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.”-Luther Burbank.
I was reading something the other day and the author was saying that she planted a flower garden a few years back. She said she enjoys going outside and cutting fresh flowers for her vases inside. I think that’s a wonderful idea. I currently have 8 roses bushes planted and one of the bushes is ready to bloom. I have mixed emotions about cutting my roses. I love how they look when you walk up to my door, yet, I love having fresh cut flowers in my home, therefore, I suppose once they bloom, I’ll have to decide to cut or leave.
I hope this is our forever home. I love it here. I love lake life despite the heat. I love being able to go outside and relax by the water. Perhaps one day, we’ll get a little pontoon so we can enjoy some late afternoon, early evening cruises around the lake.
My dear readers, I am so grateful to be living lake life. God has given us a beautiful home and I vow to keep it well kept, including my garden.
I suppose you can say, I’m living my best life yet. I have John here with me and we have a beautiful lake home. I am blessed.
Well guys, I need to finish up for now. I just wanted to stop by and say hi. I think I’ll be hitting the pillow really soon. I’m super tired today and barley able to stay awake.
I hope you all have the best of evenings and until next time, don’t forget, Love Life++ Hugs.

Thank you Anthony. I saw my neurosurgeon today and he’s now ordering the brain scan with contrast. Two things I hate, MRI’s and IV’s. Ugh, my stress level is already through the roof.
